ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR 2018
In order to be considered for Financial Aid you must complete:
- A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2017-2018 school year must be on file with Washington State University.
- Admission as a regular degree-seeking student.
- Register for at least 6 credits (undergraduate students); or at least 3 credits (graduate students).
NOTE: Continuing students must be making satisfactory academic progress (SAP) toward completion of a degree. For the complete SAP policy, please refer to the Financial Aid web site.
AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS
Federal financial aid for summer typically consists of grants and loans that you may have qualified for during the academic year but did not accept or use.
Pell Grant is available to those who qualify. Get details on the Student Financial Services website.
NOTE: Some students may experience a delay in delivery of summer financial aid until their spring semester grades are posted to their transcripts and verified for satisfactory progress.
DELIVERY OF FUNDS
Your summer financial aid will deliver to your WSU Student Account on the first day of your first summer session class.
LAST DAY TO QUALIFY FOR FUNDS
The last day of the term is July 27. You need to accept loans no later than July 20 to receive these funds.
ACADEMIC YEAR REVISION REQUEST
If you are enrolled above half-time credits (6 undergrad, 3 grad) or for more than six weeks, you have the option to submit an Academic Year Revision request to increase your summer budget, and potentially increase your financial aid. This form is located at financialaid.wsu.edu/forms.
